Beta 7.0 -- first new post error

Yesterday I started noticing that when there are new posts in the forum and looking at the list of threads that have new posts since the last time I was on the site; when clicking the arrow icon next to each thread with new posts, I'm not directed to the first new post right away; instead the site will go to an older post in the thread, pause for a second and then roll down to the first new post. This morning I reverted to version 6.1.25 and didn't encounter the error, but after switching back to the 7.0.5 beta version, the error started occurring again.
